GENIUS

The Big Bang spawned the planets and the universe – but why was it all created if there was nobody to discover it, to feel it, to experience it? There was one piece of the puzzle missing…

The Genius, Leonardo, explored the world around him through science, art and intuition. Humankind was not created just to mark time, he realised, but also to invent, create and aspire to achieve knowledge.

He was fascinated with the stars and even more so with the zodiac. It was the inspiration behind his masterpiece The Last Supper, in which the 12 apostles represent the 12 signs of the zodiac.

“There are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, those who do not see” – Leonardo da Vinci

Show Technology

Almost 80 million real pixels, 50km of cabling and more than 350,000 projected lumens come together to create a sensory riot. In this revision of Leonardo’s work, the Genius Immersive Experience presents what his vision might have been today. How would he perceive our attitudes towards ecology, nature, science, space exploration and modern art? Discover the answers to our future by examining our past.

FAQs

Access to the show is possible only during the 1-hour time slot you’ve been allocated – this will restrict visitor numbers and reduce queues. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, all areas are cleaned frequently and the 2G+ rule applies. This means the following:

Mask requirements for visitors:
– aged 14 and older must wear an FFP2 mask
– aged 6 to 13 must wear a medical mask (FFP2 is strongly recommended)

Other requirements for visitors:
– aged 18 and older must present proof of being fully vaccinated plus the third booster, along with photo ID (for example, a passport, driver’s licence, identity card, student card, etc)
– aged 18 and older who are doubly vaccinated or recovered from SARS-CoV-2 must, in addition, present a negative antigen test result from the same day
– aged between 6 and 17 must provide proof of a negative antigen test from the same day or, as an alternative to presenting a negative test, proof that children are regularly tested at school is also accepted, such as the Berlin school ID card (though this is not valid during the school holiday period and the weekend). Those who are vaccinated or recovered, in this age group, must present digital proof with a verifiable QR code and photo ID
– Children aged 5 and under are exempt from these rules (photo ID is required for proof of age)

Hand disinfectant dispensers are in place throughout the show, so please use them regularly.

Try, also, to maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from anyone not belonging to your household.

We recommend wearing an FFP2 mask primarily for self-protection, but also for the protection of other guests and our employees.
All other previous rules, such as the obligation to provide proof of vaccinations or booster, as well as daily tests, no longer apply.

Right of revocation and cancellation

According to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB (German Civil Code), tickets from the area of leisure activities do not constitute a distance contract within the meaning of § 312g BGB. This means that the customer’s two-week right of cancellation and return provided by law for distance contracts is excluded by a legal exception. Every order for tickets for a fixed period is thus binding immediately after purchase and obliges the customer to accept and pay for the tickets ordered without delay.

Rebooking of online tickets can be made accommodatingly in individual cases after examination by Ticketmaster under email

Cancellation and refund is excluded.
